Crazy Day in Beijing!

Today started early with an orientation with our adoption agency. It was a meeting to let us know what was going to happen and when. Lots of information and we got 4 new pictures of Mariah! She gets sweeter and sweeter every time we see her!

Then it was off to Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City. It was an amazing tour! We had so much fun learning about Chinese Culture and history. I am sad that we are leaving Beijing, but so excited that we get Mariah tomorrow!!! YEAH!!!

After we got back from our tour, we met our group and went to, PIZZA HUT! It was so yummy!!!! After 3 days of Chinese food, it was nice to eat a piece of home! Our group is so great and we just had so much fun! We walked the Night Market and that is in a world of it's own. People were selling sea horses, squid, pork balls, fried kidneys, you name it they had it!!! It smelled so bad!!!

Well, sorry to make this short, but I have to pack. We have to be down in the lobby at 5:30 am. So hopefully I can put my excitement behind and get some sleep!!!

MARIAH HERE WE COME!!!

Love,
Mary

PS: I miss you Ryan, Marissa and Mya! Daddy says he loves you!

You don't know me, but we are also adopting from China through Holt. I came across your blog, and started reading and looking at the pics. When I saw your beautiful Mariah, I started to cry, because I recognized her from the Holt website. God really gave me a burden for two children on the China WC site - your little girl and a little boy they said was named Doug. (Both of whom now have families.) I prayed each time I saw them that God would provide a loving Godly family for them. I was thrilled when I saw "I have a family!" on their pictures. God is so good.

Reading about your journey has really meant a lot to me. There are sooo many things that match ours, and the feelings you share (wanting time to stand still and pass quickly at the same time, for one) are so familiar. (We have two sons by birth.) Our homestudy was FINALLY completed 9/08, and we could get on the list to be matched with a child from the China Child of Promise program through Holt. We were matched just 10 days later with a beautiful little girl. Our Dossier was sent 12/08, and our LOA sent 3/2/08. Now, we are waiting for our TA. So, I'm checking your blog and praying for you daily. It's amazing how God can give you the desire to pray for someone you've never met (many times during the day). Somehow, reading about your trip to China, and praying for you makes me feel like I'm just a little closer to our precious little girl who is still waiting for us. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.

Hi Mary, Chad and Mariah! I am having trouble sending comments on my computer, so I am having your sister send this for me. We are thinking of you each day and praying for you. Marissa is doing so well each morning and keeping you guys in her thoughts and prayers as well. Mya is doing great too. We miss you and hope to see all of you soon!
